Product Review: Dodora Magic Pink Cream

By Wei Ni (Guest Blogger)

Pink is my favourite colour! Pink is the colour of youth and plump skin that goes ‘boing boing’ every time you touch it! It has a soft, bouncy and springy feel to it and that essentially is the epitome of youth and health!

When I was given the opportunity to review this particular product, I was a tad skeptical as to it’s functions. A magic cream that will leave you with naturally pink lips, cheeks and nipples? Surely not! Read on to find out what this pink cream is all about! :)

Dodora Magic Pink Cream!
Comes in a sickly adorable pink packaging with a girl in a pink dress blown away ala Marilyn Monroe wearing a crown. Comes in a clear white tube, the product itself is white as well but will turn pink once applied onto skin.

DSC_0296
The ingredients. All I see is collagen, collagen, collagen!! Absolutely needed to keeping skin young, plump and wrinkle free! :)

This product promises to lighten any dark areas that you have and can be used on your lips, cheeks, nipple and umm… va-jayjay should you choose to use it there. It is said to prevent dryness and chapped lips and is best used after shower.

Now let’s see if this thing actually works! :)

DSC_0301
I decided to apply a little dollop on to back of my hand first to test it out, as you can see the product comes out white.

DSC_0303
Smoothing the product across the back of my hand, it looks a tad glossy and the pink doesn’t quite show yet.

DSC_0304DSC_0305
Giving it a few more moments, the lovely pink shade slowly appears on the back of my hand. As you can see from the photos, the pink itself isn’t overly striking or bright, it just gives a really natural pink tint to your skin. Can you imagine this lovely healthy shade of pink across your cheek? As if you’ve just stepped out from the sun and you’re glowing and flushing from the inside.

DSC_0307DSC_0306
Here’s how the pink looks on a piece of white tissue. Not very obvious and just a hint of pink! Lovely!

I’ve been using this product for a few weeks now. I personally find that it is better to apply a layer of lip balm underneath this product as it isn’t as moisturising as what I am used to.

Because my lips are already quite naturally pink, when I applied it there wasn’t too much of a difference. However, my best friend who has darker lips due to her constant need for nicotine noticed a really nice subtle difference to her lips! In fact, she likes this pink cream more than I do (so she was really bummed when a thief stole her bag with this cream inside! Anyone wanna sponsor us another tube? *hopeful face*)!

This Dodora Magic Pink Cream really gives you the most natural pink lips you can possibly get! I haven’t quite tried it on my cheeks yet, but I believe that if you put it on top of your foundation, it’ll give your cheeks a really lovely and natural pink flush!

All in all, if you’re looking for the most natural looking pink lip tint, this is definitely the one for you! And heck, if you do manage to try it on your cheeks do let me know how it goes and send me before and after photos as well! :)

Where to get this pretty pink cream?
None other than the esteemed, Supermodel’s Secrets!
The price for naturally pink lips and cheeks?
RM46 with PosLaju.
This Taiwanese product is incredibly popular in countries like Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan!

So what are you waiting for? Head on over to Supermodel’s Secrets to naturally pinkify your look! :)

Till next time!
Wei Ni out.

The Guest Bloggers: Weekend Outfits

By Wei Ni (Guest Blogger)

Here’s another quick round of get to know the guest bloggers of YSK! We got a myriad of outfits this week as all of us had a very busy bee weekend! How did you guys celebrate the weekend? How many of you went Bazaar Hopping? How many of you actually sat down and listened to Michael Jackson all day, it was after all the anniversary of his death. Every time I was in a car, I made sure to tune into MixFM to listen to their weekend Michael Jackson Music Marathon. :D

Anyhoo, move along here’s our styles and looks for the weekend. :)

First up, adorable Mechell! All dressed up in classic black for a HTC Launch Party. Any free phones for us? :D

High waist shorts : Kiss & Tell
Lace bag : A gift from Sha-Lene
Heels : Stolen from sister (I love raiding other people’s closets too! Just something about rummaging through all the stuff to find something NEW to wear without spend a dime!)

Moving along, it’s super skinny and petite Michelle all dressed up to for a yummy pigging out session! (I love those!)

Denim smocked tube top: Amour
Giant bow belt: Junk Food (How apt to be wearing a belt from junk food while going to a pigging out spree!)
Red heart shaped bag: Topshop
Jeans: Pasar Shop (Which reminds me, I need to get a decent pair of jeans. Anyone knows where to get a good pair? :) )

Lucky Anna all dressed up for a lovely vacation at Sutera Harbour Resort, Sabah. Please note the jealousy that is ooooooooozing out of my every pore!

The Guest Bloggers: What We Wore This Sunny Weekend

By Cynthia (Guest Blogger)

The weekend came and went off so fast that it seems like I have yet to have anything done before the new week approaches :(

After our first few attempts at camwhoring for the weekend post, I think each of us are getting the hang of it ;) But I do wonder, what if eventually we are out of clothes to wear and so far I have yet to see anyone of us here pictured in pajamas (I am hoping to spot at least one who doesn't bother to dress up during weekend) But I guess it won't happen as we are all too conscious of how we look. (Oh, well, guess I've got to do the awkward job one day.. in pajamas)

Michelle opted for grey colored lace jumpsuit to match the room ambience on a hot afternoon taking care of her baby niece ;) Baby sitting also need to be so prim and proper with make up some more! O.o

Lacey jumpsuit - Bazaar in Penang

Freeloader Wei Ni looking younger in her casual outfit! Or could it be due to her constant usage of the Egyptian Magic Cream? You got me to thank babe! =P

Supre oversized top
Union Jack shorts from her own boutique - Peep
Oversized bag from Mooie (OMG, love it!)

On this sunny day where all families plan for a Father's Day dinner, Anna too did not miss out a family outing and was practically draped in all things bought online!! Doing better with the pose girl! =D

Thrifted top from Trades
Hiigh waisted skirt from Agape Boutique
Bag from Junkie Motto
Shoes from bazaars in town

Mechell never fails to leave home for all sorts of outing every weekend. From baking in cousin's place, to paintball, to walking the dog, to loitering in weird places, she is everywhere! Yes, and this week, she is off to a friend's birthday bash and later to a paint ball session! See what I said?!

Tube top and bag from bazaar
Shorts (were there any shorts?) from ELLE
Bottle from Esprit

At a glance this amoi featured here looked like she is attending a 70s retro party and is attempting to sneak out from the back door when the parents are asleep =P If you are not familiar with her, this is Nathalie, one of our guest bloggers that hail from Penang. And in her 70s ensemble with white loop earrings and Coach bag, she is heading to the mamak for a drink session -__-

Top from Cotton On
Mini Skirt from MNG

Can you spot which is Sha-Lene at the below picture? =D I am sure you readers too are in awe how does this petite woman with short hair (that's the mum) manage to raise the girl next to her to such remarkable size! =P Sha-Lene celebrated her mum's birthday in Shogun today, immediately after her last exam paper in uni.

Both mother and daughters seem to have a penchant for all things florals!! ;)
Maxi dress from some random boutique~

The workaholic me, is obviously making a habit to camwhore before heading to work on a weekend. This is also a major cause of me being late to work for half an hour daily O.o
Am going to be promoting our batik in an event hence am donned in the brand's own collection. Yes, we do get to pick some of the items to wear as un-uniformed attire once in a blue moon ;)
By the way, if you do notice, the Body Shop spree bag I have on the floor have been permanently there and there are some stash of clothes unfolded in front which blocks the view. Yeah, I RARELY tidy my room =P

Hand drawn batik cotton top from Meesha Sukira Batik.
Pants from South China Sea, and their cutting is big!! Also check out SCS sales in Isetan of where ever you spot one, because it is really cheap!

And because the post this week is written by me and being a camwhorer, I can't stop at just a Saturday picture and no Sunday pictures!

Yes, I went to work again apparently. It was in a carnival in Bukit Kiara Equestrian Club organised by a client, Sime Darby Property. OK, too much info...

Hand drawn batik cotton mandarin top from Meesha Sukira Batik
Skirt from Cotton On

And this is how I spent my weekend while dreaming if I can afford a pony one day and start driving riding one

Happy Monday! Work hard! Study hard for the week ahead!

Product Review: Diva Essential - Those Bangs To Keep in the Bag

By Cynthia Lee (Guest Blogger)

Hello hello fashionistas and divas of the online shopping community! I have a very brief review of another item to share with all you pretties ;) Seamless Bangs from Supermodel's Secrets!

Are you tired of your lifeless fringe?
Not enough volume or simply having a naturally thin hairline?

Personally, I am a fringe person. Seriously, I do not have much choice but to embrace into the 'fringe-ism'- an act of forever covering your forehead with a massive stash of follicles in order to create a smaller facial frame =D =D

My 'collection' of fringe which I term 'fring-ism' ;)

I cannot be angling my face forever to reduce the size of the face. And this only works when camwhoring. It doesn't work in real life zooming.

All it takes for good camwhore is some good angling after 12,678 times of snapping pictures

This is what happens when angles gone wrong!
And camwhorer has a sparse and uneven fringe O.o

So yeah, there you go. This piece of hairy stash of follicles that comes to your aid when you need a breather form the uncontrollable or unavailable fringe.

do not underestimate this stash of hay here ;)

Michelle trying her best to tempt me into trying the bangs,
which I fell asleep here while listening I think =D

Please do bear in mind, wearing any fake accesories, in this case you can say wig or extension is not something humiliating or an act to cover up your weaknesses or flaws ;) It is simply a courageous act to add more life to our sense of personal styling :)

And here, Wei Ni is pretty bold in her Publis Display of Accessorising
while we had our food in Wondermilk ;)

It's pretty easy to play with. If you have tried on any clip-on hair extension, it works the same. Only that this one is clipped onto your crown of head.

-First place and adjust the right postion with the crown of the bangs going on top of the crown of your own hair
-Secure it by clipping the clips attached. By now you would have an instant volume of bang.
-Flip, tussle, flip, tussle and voila! You can't even detect the fake from your real hair and instant volume is created.

The color of the kanekolan material matches my hair color perfectly! I uses Light Brown Seamless Bangs here.

Let me show you how effortlessly natural it is again with more camwhore scene ;)

camwhored at home under flourescent lighting

And I followed Wei Ni with her bold Public Display of Accessorising too!
Under natural daylight.

And this nerdish-me look is created with the fun seamless bangs
brought to you by Supermodel's Secret - the girls' platform to fun vanity!

Retailing at RM39 per piece, it's way better than having to go to the saloon once every 2 days to maintain your unruly bangs or re-design yoour bangs' style ;)

Get yours HERE and do share with us some looks that you have created! I would be keen to have a look and learn more ways to accesorise this piece of fabulous camwhore gadget ;)

Till then, keep pretty and hot always!

The Guest Bloggers: Weekend what-we-whore post

By Mechell (Guest Blogger)

The girls are so gonna smack me for the title of this post! It was supposed to be what-we-wore but our petite supermodel, Michelle, read it as what-we-whore. Such slips happen when we try to repress our innermost desires that people may not find appropriate. *cough*wonder what's in Michelle's head*cough*

Haha. So anyway, in Cynthia's last post she mentioned that we were gonna do a what-we-wear post to be published every Sunday. Earlier today, I was just working on an assignment about diversity in the workplace. One idea I like about diversity - it's good because individual differences enhance our performance as an organization because we all bring different things to the table. Here at Your Shopping Kaki, all of us are pretty different from each other BUT one same passion brought us together and despite being total strangers before this, we click pretty well! And that's what the passion for shopping and fashion does ;)

So here goes! Our Sunday look and what we were up to :D

(Dress from Discreet @ Sunway Pyramid)
Petite supermodel, Michelle, going on a romantic date looking like an absolute angel!
o(∩_∩)o We wonder who's the lucky guy. Haha.

(Dress from Cocktail & Martinis)
Our in-house designer, Cynthia, in her handicapped dress.
I know right, what in the world is a handicapped dress?!? ╮(╯ε╰)╭
Haha. Among the people in the creative industry, Cynthia is definitely one of the quirky souls.

(Dress from Moca Boutique @ Bangsar, shoes from Aldo)
Lanky supermodel Wei Ni heading out to parttaaayyyy!
It was a salsa party themed Sparkly/ Bling. Maybe Wei Ni can dance for us next time! ^_^)Y

Anna here looking great in smart casual o(∩_∩)o
Poor girl was telling us about how her feet hurt that day thanks to her heels, but we girls have a higher pain tolerance especially when it comes to looking good! Haha.

(Dress from FOS; Vest from Cotton On)
Yours truly headed out for a date with the boyfriend('s family) and work later on. Only got back around midnight so I apologize for the delay in this blog post!

So that's it from us this time around, do leave a comment if you wanna share with us your ideas/ suggestions/ just say hi! We'd love to hear from you. :)

See you next week!

A Night Out! (Guys&Girls)

Whether you're going to an upscale bar in downtown or a fancy dinner, you must always remember that looking good is crucial. You never know who you'll run into, or who you will meet. Will you meet your next boyfriend/girlfriend? Will you meet Megan Fox or Chris Evans? I don't know, but what I do now is that circumstances like these always happen. So stay fashionable wherever you go!

This blog talks about the perfect night out look!
Take a look at the pictures I uploaded. These pictures best represent the styles and trends I'm talking about that are must's when going out!

GIRL'S LOOK

A red dress is always the best piece of clothing to have. You can never go wrong. You can style it with just about anything, whether it be black heels or (the new trend) NUDE HEELS, accessories, and the hair nicely done. Talk about sexy and chic, both in one.

Another great dress is the one below. The great black belt around the waist helps curvier girls look thinner, and more luscious (sexy!). I know Express carries a lot of these dresses, and usually some of them are on clearance...you know we love clearance items! Accessorize this dress with the right pieces, and you've just made yourself an awesome but sexy outfit. Get them boys lookin', I know.

Now, if you're the kind of girl who isn't too girly or too extravagant, then a simple top with nice skinny jeans and a pair of heels will do the job. If you're going for this kind of look, my advice is to always make sure your heels are on point. Your heels either have to be extra patterned or even a solid color that creates a contrast with the outfit. Ex, beige top, dark blue skinnies, and red heels. That's sexy! Also, every you go, you will find a top. Usually Charlotte Russe carries the best tops for great prices.

Another look that can easily be put together, and is affordable. I love the contrast of the purse with everything else (picture below). As I said above, if you're going simple and chic, contrast either your heels or purse with the outfit. Look simple, but eye catching <3

GUY'S LOOK

The outfit below is sexy, and classy by all means. The way white is the primarily color resembles essence and classiness with a bit of confidence. If you're a man who can pull of an all white outfit, then I commend you because some guys can play it well and some just can't. Makes any guy look handsome, seriously. However, my advice for those who are going for this look is to contrast the shoes. DO NOT GO WITH WHITE, that'll be too much. Contrast it with a black pair of shoes, or even red, blue, etc. Simply create that eye popping contrast.

I call this look the 'classy sailor' look. I love how he incorporates pieces of clothing that any sailor uses, but puts it together with other elegant pieces of clothing. The mesh between the too creates a great look for a night out. A lot of gray, blue, and white is used if going for this look--so make sure you look good in these colors :) H&M has the best items that can deliver this outfit.

If you're a guy who likes to be simple but also eye catching, then this is the look for you. No matter what anyone says, a regular v-neck is always the sexiest top. Think about it, a regular black v-neck, a  gray pants, and a pair of black shoes--I mean, wow! Sexy in every single direction, just make sure to wear a nicely ironed shirt...don't look foolish with a v-neck that looks like you picked off your bedroom floor. Also, if wearing a v-neck is too simple, then throw a short sleeve on top. Keep it open or buttoned, it'll still look good.

Wow, look at this outfit! I bet that guy scores all the dates with the girls. It screams classy and elegant in every direction. It's not hard to pull off an outfit like this one, just grab a jacket, long-sleeve shirt, pair of pants, and some sneakers--wa'la you're a baller in no time! If you're going for this look, make sure to wear the right kind of colors and right sneakers. You don't want to look silly in front of your big time crush.

Hmm, are you that kind of guy that looks to stand out? The kind that enjoys to be the certain of attention? Well, then this is your kind of look. You can go for a suit look or simply throw a sweater on top, but remember that this look is best with boots and a scarf. I mean, look at the man below, he is the definition of edgy with a bit of classy. All these pieces can be found at H&M, Express, Banana Republic, etc. Just shop around, grab pieces from different stores, and put it together. Make it different, and ultimately, make it you.

Every girl and guy has different taste in clothes. A girl may only like to wear dresses while another girl is  simple, but chic. A guy likes to be elegant with the definition of confident while another guy likes to go for the v-neck look. Depending on how you are is how you will dress. This blog gives you ideas that may alter your style. Not in the sense of changing your entire style around--which is not bad, since change is good--but in the sense of adding more to what you wear.

All I have to say is change it up. Change is good, and if it doesn't work one way, then it'll work the other way. It's a matter of taking risks and trying new trends out every now and then. Be a risk taker--you'll never know whose eye you may catch!

Weekend Milking Session

The Guest Bloggers:
Milking and Spooning Session
in WonderMilk and Fatspoon
By Guest Blogger: Cynthia Lee

I always believe that people meet for a reason. Be it to make a difference in your life, to add spices to your dull life, and sometimes to make you miserable.

Whatever is the intended purpose, along the way you are bound to find people of the likes who share the same passion with you. Be it in food, boys ogling =P or fashion!!!

And somehow some of us crosses path. While we shop online ;)

Some of us were ardent online shopaholics. Some of us were enterprising blogshop owners. And most of us were merely impulse purchasers of all things pretty available in the online blogosphere ;)

And yes, we do come in different shapes and sizes. Each one wiht their own distinctive taste and preferences in all aspects of life. Meet US!!! The guest blogger for the YourShoppingKaki enterprise! There were a few more bloggers actually, but due to fickle minds and impromptu 'Hey- let's-do-lunch- now!' there were only 4 of us who made it to adjourn in FatSpoon and Wondermilk in the same day! This sounded so wrong, but yes, we had our milking and spooning session =P With the absence of Boss YSK who is apparently scratching head trying to complete assignments ;(

Meet:
Wei Ni, the lanky lass standing tall at 170cm *envy*
Michelle, the petite supermodel who brings you all the stuff a woman need
Mechell, the romantic (haha I don't know why I labeled her as such!)
Yours truly in slippers, ;( (nobody told me to dress up nicely!)

Wei Ni trying on the bangs for a coming review

Mechell no-eye-see when I try to pitch the idea of a weekend-what-we-wear post ;(

Michelle trying to convince me in putting up the seamless bangs, or toupee as she calls it ;)

From today onwards, we'll try to have a weekly fashion update on what we are wearing over the weekend! The au-naturale style ;) And I can imagine Sha-Lene in her pajamas and Wei Ni in her loose fit singlets painting toe-nails at home =D  Yes, not the LookBook style!

The whole purpose of this weekly fashion post is for you guys to get to know each of the Guest Bloggers on YSK better, so that you guys can better reach out to us. Without a face, we understand that it is hard to approach us and hopefully by putting ourselves out there we hope to reach out to you all better. :)

Unfortunately this weekend we managed to rope in only four of us without the presence of the BOSS, which we replaced with this:

Wish you were here Sha-Lene!! ;)

The next time you see any of us, please drop by and say hi! =D

We would love to know that there are so many of you out there who enjoy patronising YSK on daily basis :)

Till then, keep coming for more reviews!!

Happy Shopping!
